MOVING

I know this has absolutely nothing to do with art, but as I am moving home, there is not much art being done around here.

I'm finding it very difficult, as ,due to lack of funds, we are doing the move ourselves. DD and her fiance will be doing the bulky items, but the rest is mainly down to me, because of DH health problems.

Because of my own health problems, which dictate that I'm not supposed to do lifting of any kind, it's hard. So today went out bought myself a sack barrow, and things are sooo much easier for me. (Can you believe it, Woman, Artist, Mother, talking about buying a Sack Barrow. HaHa LOL
Went shopping for newbies for the new home, definitely the best part of it, as I'm sure most women will agree with me.
The new home isn't as clean as expected, so extra work involves cleaning. I really can't believe that people would not clean the house properly before moving out. I wouldn't DREAM of it. I have been known to decorate days before moving out myself. I'd be too ashamed to leave traces of dirt behind. When on holiday I always leave the hotel room as clean as I possibly can.
Still, I suppose I would have cleaned it anyways, cos there' s nothing worse than somebody elses dirt. LOL (No I am not a cleaning freak, far from it, 9/10 times my house is messy, but it's my dirt, so who cares. )
Tonight treating myself to a glass or two of wine to relax. Alright then, maybe a couple more LOL.

So this is going to sound like a really stupid question. Hopefully my stupidity is simply a case of living in a different country and calling things by different names. My question is: What's a sack barrow? I've not heard that phrase before.

I do hope you are taking care of yourself as you continue to work through this move! Hugs to ya. :D

Hi Margaret, I've had a sack-barrow for moving things around in the garden for a few years now (my back isn't what it used to be) so know how helpful they can be. Hope you settle in quickly.
And thanks I did get your comment -and in fact i found wet paint thru' your connection so thanks

John
